Who just walked through a crinkly moving tunnel for the first time? Well that would be me! ~ Graham “the brave” Kitty

Still getting to know you! ~ Graham Kitty and Scruffy Pup
Successfully introducing kittens and adult dogs take patience, baby steps and lots of time. Yesterday with Greg supervising, the door between the “kitten palace” and the rest of the house was open for several hours with the child gate remaining shut. The pups were in the house and would go up to the gate to check things out.
We have a vocal crew and when the barking got too intense Greg would call the pups for a treat to diffuse the situation. It didn’t take long for Bea and Bess to go do something else, while Scruffy quietly stayed watching.
At one point Graham, the more outgoing kitten actually slipped through the one open bar in the gate and stood nose to nose with Scruffy in the living room. Neither quite knew how to react but after a few seconds Scruffy nosed Graham, Graham hissed then scooted back into the Kitten Palace.
We are keeping close watch on how everyone is reacting to each other to make sure it doesn’t get overwhelming. Scruffy sleeping beside the open door and the kittens relaxed and snuggling on the other side of the door is proof that we are indeed making progress. Oh and Gus Gus found his purr! 💕

May your day be relaxed and your naps refreshing. ~ Bessie Pup

A terrier is always on the watch and sometimes undercover! ~ Scruffy Pup

We had our first Dr appointment today. We both weigh 2.4 lbs each. I purred all during my exam and shot unlike someone else I know. ~ Graham
Hey! Can I help it that the needle was sharp and that I wanted to explore so I tried to jump off of the exam table?!? ~ Gus

Well yes I know I just got home a little bit ago from my groom appointment. But you see then it rained and it was so much fun to dig for the imaginary whatchamacallits. You wanna come see? ~ Scruffy Pup

Channeling my inner pup ~ Gus Gus Kitty

Gotcha!!~ Gus Kitty

I went nose to nose with my sister Scruffy this morning. She barked. I batted hard at her nose. She barked some more. I purred. ~ Graham Kitty
Note: so the kittens this morning climbed up the closed Kitten Palace door and stood looking in at Scruffy. Cause of course Scruffy to bark. They dropped to the floor but Graham stayed by the door while the barking continued. After a quick discussion Greg put Scruffy’s harness and leash on her with a second leash on her collar then he held her. I opened the door and Gus Gus ran into the living room and straight under the couch where he stayed. I picked Graham up and the two in a very controlled atmosphere met nose to nose. As Graham mentioned he started purring almost right away. Scruffy stopped barking and moved to whining then a few seconds of silence. After about 10 minutes Greg took Scruffy out to the pup porch with the other pups while Graham and Gus had playtime in the living room. Progress…~ My Margret
