Taker Carer of Our My Greg Pups

We haven’t seen our My Greg in forever, (really it was just yesterday morning)

He had a partial knee replacement yesterday. He came home yesterday too but we didn’t get to come in and welcome him home. We didn’t like that. Our My Margret kept coming out to our pup porch to love us and talk to us so that helped …kinda….not really…

Finally today Our My Margret said we could come in and see him one at a time, she’s bossy like that.

First Bessie came in.

Then Bonnie

Then Belle

He went back into the living room and told our My Margret to let us stay in. She wasn’t sure if that was a good idea but we were really happy to hear that especially Belle who gets to take the first turn being the taker carer of our My Greg. I guess it’s only fair I mean she’s the taker carer pup of all of us.

Lots Going On

We had big and little people at our house this weekend. I got to spend time with Aaron one of the older little people. We played find it, he had me practice sit and just plain gave me really good face rubs. I liked it a lot!

Next up was Belle, she got to spend time with Katie the youngest of the little people who wanted to give her treats. Her grandpa who is also our My Greg helped her.

Then Ethan the oldest little person ( I’m not sure he can be called little anymore he’s taller than his grandma who is also our My Margret) and Aaron got to pet and give her more treats

When it was Bessie’s turn she was so excited to see the little people that she knocked over the gate and almost My Margret when My Margret grabbed her so she wouldn’t bounce against Katie. We all decided that Bessie needs to calm down a bit and Katie needs to grow a bit more before we try that again. Maybe the next time they come.

My Margret told us that we three pups need to get our taker carer hats on. Something about our My Greg and a new knee in a couple of days. Hmm…we aren’t quite sure what that means but we are getting ready to report for taker carer duty.

Early Early Morning Rain and Thank You Licks

So early very early this morning it started to rain. My sister Bonnie and I woke up our My Greg because we wanted to go out. His knee isn’t working too good so our Margret got up to take us out. Um…they might have thought that we needed to go potty…but really we just wanted to play in the rain and tell all of our neighbors that it was raining in case they wanted to come out and play too!

Our My Margret called, and called, and called for us to come back in. We finally heard her just as she was coming out to get us. She didn’t look very happy, I think she should have maybe played in the rain with us.

Did I mention it was early, like 3:00ish early? She just looked at us and said it was time to go back to bed.

Once we climbed back into bed Bonnie curled up next to her and I laid on top of her and we both gave her lots of “thank you for letting us play in the early, very early morning rain “licks.

It’s Just Us

Our My Margret is so goofy. She found a picture of us that she says totally shows our personalities.

We don’t get it. It’s just a picture…right?

I mean just because I like to be comfy All. The. Time.

Just because I’m concentrating on my chewy toy

Just because I’m kinda laying on my sister while I chew my chewy thingy.

Nope we don’t get it.

I Bet We Could Win Best Couch Potato!

My Margret and My Greg are watching a program from Hallmark called American Rescue Dog Show. Some of the categories are senior dog, best couch potato, talkiest, best snorer, best kisser, best in underbite, best in fetch, best listener and best wiggle butt.

I’m watching to get some tips but I’m pretty sure Belle and I could win first prize for couch potato.

Medicine, Cheese and Tummy Rubs

If one of us gets cheese we all get cheese …please!!!

I know, how about you rub my tummy instead of giving me my ear drops.

That feels good!

That My Margret she’s a determined one. I couldn’t talk her out of giving me my ear drops but I did score a tummy rub out of it.

Cheese Cheese and More Cheese

My Greg took me to the vet today to check my ears and the hotspot on my face. While we were waiting I became the official greeter and welcomed everyone and their pups when they came into the waiting room. I had a lot of people smile at me while they petted me, it was a lot of fun. Hmmm I wonder if they would put me on the staff? That would be a really fun job.

I have a doozy of an ear infection but my hotspot is better than it was yesterday. Dr Mr Vet was impressed that My Greg had trimmed the fur from my hotspot and said that was helping it to get better. He said it was going to take a few more days for my ear infection to get better and gave me more medicine. Which means…CheeseCheese

And more cheese.

I’m telling you it’s fingers licking good! (My tongue is almost as wide as three of My Margret’s fingers. Ha!!)

Enough Love For All Of Us

So I am coneless today. But I also have a hotspot on my face below my ear along with my ear infection. My Greg picked up some more medicine today to help settle everything down and tomorrow I have an appointment so the dr. can see how things look.

My sister Belle is feeling a lot better which is a really good thing.

A little while ago I went up to my Margret to be loved on and my sister Bonnie decided that she wanted to be loved on too.

She got all goofy about it but I patiently waited my turn.

My Margret just kept telling us there’s enough loves and pats to go around and she was right!

Misery Loves Company Or Something Like That

They say misery loves company and I didn’t want my sister Belle to be lonely.

My Margret noticed I had been scratching my ear and then she saw my sisters lick at my ear. Seems that I have a quarter size owie on the underside of my ear flap along with all the signs of an ear infection. The cone is so my sisters can’t keep licking my ear. My Margret said I would soon be cone less and that both Belle and I would be feeling better. I hope she’s right.

Ear Infections and Co-Pilots

So most of you know that I’m the taker carer of everyone in my home but every now and then I need to be taken care of. My Margret noticed the other day that my left ear was red and yucky and because I am the ear infection queen she knows what they look like and started me on the drops that we always have at home.

She noticed that it didn’t seem like it was clearing up very fast so we went to see Dr. Janelle this afternoon. She looked at my ear and said that the infection was almost all gone but that my ear was still irritated and swollen so she gave me something that will help it to get all the way better.

I got lots of pats and hugs from Dr. Janelle and the staff, I really liked that.

BUT what I didn’t like was that My Margret didn’t let me be her co pilot like My Greg does. So I let her know I wasn’t happy about that. She’s tough though no matter how many nudges or glares I gave her she wouldn’t let me move up to the front. I’m going to have to talk to My Greg about that.
