I think I can, I think I can, I did! ~ Graham Kitty
Note: On the rare occasions when the double doors are closed the kittens like to climb up the windows. Why? Maybe to figure out how to open the doors or maybe just because they can? Only they know. 🤣 ~ My Margret
In an effort towards helping my sister pup Scruffy continue to get used to me I got to hang out in her crate while she barked. It only took her a few minutes to realize that playing “find it”with her treats was more fun than barking at me. Eventually she laid down next to the crate and we both took a quick nap. What did I do while she was doing all of that you might ask? I purred ~ Graham Kitty
Note: we are ever watchful of both Graham and Scruffy to make sure neither becomes stressed. Lots of good boy and good girl praise and Graham had treats in a bowl right next to him but he’s not sure yet if he really likes treats. Given time I’m sure that will change too. We haven’t tried any of this with Gus as he prefers to maintain a distance from the loud barky sisters. Graham usually convinces him to join in when he’s not sure of something and we are confident in time that’s what will happen here too. ~ My Margret
Me? I’m not sassing Scruffy, I’m just sitting here minding my own business. ~ Graham Kitty
Note: Still a work in progress. We now leave the double doors open when we are home and the kittens have full access to the rest of the downstairs via the kitten door. For the most part they only venture in when the pups are not in the livingroom. It’s noteworthy that Scruffy doesn’t bark up a storm anymore every time she lays eyes on the kittens. A lady who works at our vet clinic said it took 4 months for her terrier to get used to her kittens. We’re coming up on 2 months and making progress even if it seems excruciatingly slow. ~ My Margret
Yesterday was our second trip to the vet for our boosters. We are 3 months old and weigh an impressive 3.5lbs each. We were so relaxed during our visit that we just lounged in our carrier and purred while everyone told us how adorable and cute we’re were. Our tech even gave us kisses and a cuddle. Thanks to our sister pups we didn’t even react when a dog there was barking and barking and barking to let everyone know that he really wanted to be someplace else. ~ Gus Gus and Graham Kitties
We are 10 weeks old now and the older we get the more our personalities are coming out. My brother Gus is more of an explorer while I’m more of a snuggler. I mean who doesn’t like to be comfy and cozy right? ~ Graham Kitty
