Two Down One To Go! ~ Gus Kitty

Well Bea the loud barky one isn’t so bad after all. She let Graham play with her tail, then wagged her tail while talking to him then went a found a toy to chew on.
I heard My Margret say two down one to go whatever that means. Maybe she’s talking about the really loud barky one they call Bessie. ~ Gus Kitty

Note: Bessie did a good job quietly listening and watching for the kittens who had heard her come in and went behind the couch. I had her on a leash to have better control and she sat snuggled in as close as she could get to me. As most know she is our oldest pup at 11 years but when she decides to bark still has the deepest and loudest of the three. Lots of progress!

I Can Multitask Like That! ~ Scruffy Pup

I like that I can still cuddle with My Margret and keep an eye on my boys. I can multitask like that! ~ Scruffy Pup

Note: Scruffy has claimed the kittens as “her boys”. They can’t wait to play with her and always come out to see her when she’s the only dog they can see. She tries to redirect Bea and Bessie when they bark at the kittens and huffs and grumble growls when they stand at the kitten door to watch them play. Both Greg and I have started telling her that they are fine, and we’ve got it covered. Only then will she relax a bit.
A funny side note Scruffy makes sure the kittens know that she gets first dibs on my lap. And she isn’t sure if she likes it when they initiate play by batting at her tail.

Bea is coming around and will only bark short barks then settles in to watch them. She gently nosed Graham the other day wanting to play and he rewarded her by smacking her nose a couple of times and hissing at her. Bea retreated to the other side of the loveseat, turned her back on him and gave me a “what was that” look! Graham won that round. 😂

Bessie is the loudest and the kittens don’t like that at all but she’s getting much better about not barking so much at them. And they are getting braver and more curious to better understand what’s up with that big and loud one.

Progress all around!
