Toe Owies, Bear Hugs, And Cheese Parties With A Hot Dog Chaser.

I have a toe owie.

My Margret took me to have Dr. Boles take a look at it. Dr. Boles and My Margret sat on the floor with me as I did everything in my power to convince Dr. Boles to give me cuddles and not look at my toe. It didn’t work although I did get lots of cuddles and Dr. Boles got lots of licks and kisses from  me.

She said that I had poked it somehow and gave us an antibiotic/steroid cream to make it get better. She then asked My Margret if she thought I would keep a sock on over my paw. My Margret laughed and said we would try but that I had two sisters who would help me take it off. Dr. Boles also prescribed benedryl to help it not itch so much.

We tried 2 different socks with tape. Neither one worked.

So no more socks but the Benadryl helps me not lick it and when My Margret puts the ointment on my toe she tries to take my mind off of it until it dries by hugging me and cuddling me and calling me sweet girl.

This morning because she forgot to put my sisters in the pup pen while she had me wrapped in a loving bear hug. She had Bessie wanting to be loved on too,  then Belle jumped up to snatch the paper napkin from her lap. She got the napkin from Belle gave them both a pat and sent them with limited success to see our My Greg. In the meantime she is singing to me a silly song complete with coffee breath which I liked. She’s good at multi-tasking like that. (She says their raising their 3 big people helped her with that particular skill.)

Then she said in a funny silly excited voice which is even sillier because she still has laryngitis that it was time for a cheese party with a hot dog chaser. We all got excited then and ran out to the kitchen for our party. It was very tasty and fun and helped me forget my toe owie…. well kind of.

~this is Bonnie “the I am very loved” Pup for the rest of the pups and kitties.

  1. I do not like things on my feet either BUTT one time when I had troubles mom and dad used some stretchy gausy-self-sticking-sort-of-stuff that dad bought at the horse store and it worked great.

  2. I’m sorry your Mom still has laryngitis and also that you hurt your foot, Bonnie. A cheese and hot dog party does sound like a lot of fun, though. Kisses and puppy licks.
