Dogs Should Be More Like Cats

Early this morning after the big loud bouncy one went outside I decided to come sit with My Margret.

The older more mature quieter ones were there too. Bonnie behaved just as I’ve trained her. But Belle started to give me some sass which I shut that down real fast!

Then Belle and I pretended that we didn’t see each other.

She finally did what she should have done in the beginning which was to leave me be and go curl up next to My Margret.

When she did that I went and curled up on top of the couch behind My Margret. Which I had wanted to do from the beginning.

Why do dogs always make things harder than they need to be?

  1. Sometimes you just have to reinforce who’s in charge, Lucy. My first schnauzer, Freda, was “raised” by our cat, and so thought she was a cat until she fell off the banister while trying to “tightrope” walk it.
