We decided tonight was a good night to introduce the pups to the tennis ball launcher that we were given at Christmas.

When we went back on the house I discovered their new toys had arrived. I had picked up one just like these a couple of weeks ago and they all loved it. So I decided to order a few more.

Tonight’s playtime was a fun change of pace that we all enjoyed!

I wonder how that got there.

~this is Bessie “the what tennis ball” Pup for the pups and kitties

I’m so excited I have a new job, that’s right me! What is my job you ask?

You are looking at the bunny, truck, motorcycle, quad, tractor, bird and stray kitty, basically everything that isn’t a whatchamacallit, watcher! Yep that’s me. It’s a very important job that is basically 24/7. Why this week alone I had to go on watch at least 4 times during the night and two of those times were in the same night that’s how busy it is!

First I woke My Margret up around 12:30am THEN I woke up My Greg at 3:30am. I think they compared notes though because last night when I woke My Margret up in the middle of the night so I could go back out on watch she said “No Bonnie it’s night night time go back to sleep”. Do you know that when I pawed at her arm a few seconds later she said it again!

I showed her I grumbled and sighed all the way around the bed to lay back down. Now I know why Bessie Pup doesn’t like those words.

Sigh…how’s a watcher of all things except for whatchamacallits supposed to do her job?

~this is Bonnie ” I have a new job” Pup for the pups and kitties.

I do a lot for My Margret.

I walk right in front of her when she walks up or down stairs to make sure the steps don’t trip her.

I help her when she is writing the church council meeting minutes by giving her a dose of cute.

And by making sure the page doesn’t go anywhere.

I curl up with her at bedtime and keep her company when she is sick.

Why I even keep the laundry from falling out of the basket.

I do all of that and she has the nerve to say I snore!

Can you believe that! Humph!

~this is Linus “the I don’t snore I purr loudly” Kitty for the pups and kitties.

This morning I ran upstairs and came back down all quiet like. My Margret and Belle were snuggled on the couch and I didn’t want them to see what I had. Oh um I mean I didn’t want to bother them.

All of a sudden I hear “leave it”.

Then I hear “give”.

Um give what? I don’t have one of your favorite socks. Really I don’t.

Next thing I knew My Margret was standing beside me with her hand out and said “give”. I kinda did and she took the sock and gave me my cow stuffie. Soon I found one of our chewy toys too but it wasn’t the same.

I’ve been taking stubborn lessons from Bonnie. When My Margret was out of the room I went upstairs and got the other sock and yep I chewed it up! In fact I chewed faster when I saw My Margret coming into the room.

She just look at me with a ” I can’t believe you did this after I told you not to” look. Then Bonnie and I gave her a ” What?” look.

Sometimes a pup just wants what they want and it’s ok to go after it. Bonnie said!

We have a new friend! Jack Kitty’s Meowm Rebekka is a friend of our My Margret, they work together. Jack sent us a really pretty card.

Our My Margret read us his message.

It was fun learning all about Jack and his family.

Having a pen pal is a lot of fun. We can’t wait to write back to Jack Kitty.

We Goldens Pups carry our blankets wherever we go so we are always toasty warm, well except for…our noses.

Bessie Pup’s nose usually stays pretty warm so she doesn’t need a nose cave when she sleeps.

Belle Pup’s nose gets kinda cold so she likes shallow nose caves.

My nose gets very cold so I like deep nose caves.

My Margret kinda chuckled when she saw me. She touched my nose and said Bonnie Sweet Pup your nose is toasty warm.

I just looked at her and said yep and it’s going to stay that way!

I followed My Margret around the house tonight as she finished up some tasks. She kept looking at me and I could tell she wondered what I wanted.

When she finally sat down I showed her.

When you want your tennis ball but you don’t want your sister to know you want it.

At least until it’s fully yours!
