We have a new chair. It makes this funny noise when it moves and it’s loud enough to wake us up. 

I wasn’t sure if I liked it.

Then I got brave enough to take a closer look.

Then I decided it was ok.

Especially since there’s plenty of room to snuggle and cuddle.

Um, but I probably shouldn’t have jumped up on the couch My Margret was cleaning before she had a chance to dry me off.

Lucy jumped up for some before work forehead bumps and cuddles. I love this sweet girl.

This morning My Margret was checking my ears to see how they were doing. After she gave me a tummy rub I got up, went into the kitchen sat by the refrigerator and asked nicely for a piece of cheese. 

My Margret ruffled my fur and laughed.  I don’t think it was funny. I mean come on I get cheese and hotdogs with my pills and ear powder. I think it’s only fair to expect some cheese when my ears are looked at. 

I mean it’s only right!

I was wearing my cone, but I didn’t like it. 

So this happened…

I’m happy now.

So Bessie’s ear infection is better but not gone. 

Belle now has two hot spots, one on the underside of each ear flap. 

The pups are not leaving each other alone so on went the cones to give the meds the best possible chance to work. 

Belle a cone veteran is rocking her cone. But this is Bessie’s first time wearing the cone so in spite of her smile not so much.  In fact she’s trying to convince her My Greg to please, please,  please take it off.

And Me well the picture speaks for itself.

The three ring circus just finished their annual check up at our Vet’s. Bonnie weighed in at 72lbs and Belle weighed in at 78 lbs. all is well with our pups. No ear infection for our ear infection Queen Miss Belle. That was an added bonus! 
Both Greg and I went, the idea was to each have hold of a dog. Yeah…we need to work on that. Even with a bum knee Greg handled both pups at one time with ease while because of their excitement/ anxiety I couldn’t even hold on to one while standing/ walking. We did do some wonderful twists and turns though.

Sigh…

I’m sad, well actually I’m pouty. The drops haven’t made my ears any better.

 I do though like the cheese I get after my drops. Can you believe it, I get one slice of cheese per ear!

My sisters have been “helping” by licking my ears every chance they get. Every time they do My Margret and My Greg have told them “leave it!” followed by “good girl” . They are starting to think they have new names!

To keep the licking to a min min um minimum I’ve been staying in the house while they get to go outside.  I really, really, really want to be outside with them. Sigh.

My Greg called my vet and I’m getting some different medicine to go with the drops. WAIT! Do you think that means I get cheese AND hot dogs?!?!

This morning My Margret saw Belle, my taker carer sister licking my ear, a lot.        My Margret went to get a flashlight so she could get a good look at my ear. 

That was easier said than done as she followed me around in circles, lots of circles. Finally I was getting dizzy so I laid down on the floor and invited her to rub my tummy. Instead she lifted up my ear flap, took one look and called My Greg at work. 

She asked him if he could take me to the vet, he said yes. Since I’m a strong bouncy girl My Greg gets to be the one to hold my leash when we go places. I’m doing a better job of being calm but every now and then my bouncy side comes out.

I was scared when we went to the clinic but My Greg took good care of me. Before I saw the Dr. I had to stand on the weight thingy but I decided to sit instead. Shhh, don’t tell anyone but I weigh 93 lbs. I am a big girl!

The Dr took one look at my ears and said I had not a single but a double ear infection.  Like we say at our house ” If you’re going to do something do it good!” So I have to have drops put in my ears twice a day. Belle who is the ear infection Queen told me that means I get to get the good snacks, like cheese and hot dogs twice a day too!

I hope she’s right.
