This year My Margret has been really busy so I decided that she needed some quality control help so I put my supervisor hat on and gave her a hand. 

Wrapping presents

Writing  Christmas cards.

Making beds for company.

Putting extra leaves in the table.

And putting up the Christmas tree.

She said she couldn’t have done it without me.

Boy did we have fun! Some of My Margret and My Greg’s big and little people were here this weekend for their family Christmas. For the first time ever we got to be with the little people without the child gate between us. 

It was a lot of fun and they knew how we liked to be petted, plus they kept giving us our toys and treats, lots of treats!

One of the big kids petted us too. You can see that we liked that too.

Linus kitty had fun with the little people too and followed them wherever they went and when he got tired of following them they followed him all weekend long!
After all of that excitement we were ready for long naps.

Things have been a bit goofy around here. My Margret and My Greg have been busy getting ready for their Christmas which is in a couple of weeks with their big and little people plus they both have been sick with coughy sniffy stuff. I also heard My Margret say she has something called shingles. Now I don’t know why she has shingles from the roof but hey she’s one of the bosses so she can have whatever she wants.

In an effort to make them feel better my sisters made sure My Greg was nice and warm.

And The Bouncy One gave My Margret one of her  stuffies to help her feel better.

I’ve been keeping and eye on all of them including Linus who it seems has appointed himself the Christmas Decorating Supervisor. Some supervisor, he has already broken something and keeps skidding across the table on the tablecloth which of course knocks everything off of the table.

He’s having a good time but I know my Margret is pretty frustrated with him, so I make sure to sit by her and turn up the cute factor so she can look at me, give me a cuddle and feel better.

So My Margret has been acting strange lately.  She and My Greg have been watching something called baseball on the big box in the living room.  My Margret has been so loud while they are watching it that my sisters and I have been worried about her.

The first time it happened Bess took her one of her stuffies.  The next time it happened I went and sat by her and laid my paw on her arm to let her know it was ok.

After that we all just kind of hung out close to My Greg and watched her.

They just turned on the big box again to see more baseball something called the World Series…. GO CUBS!!!!!

Since I keep watch over everyone in my home I tend to not let My Margret know when I don’t feel good. She is learning that my “I don’t feel good” signals are very subtle and she’s getting better at figuring it out.

Day 3 of medicine and I feel so much better already that I gave My Margret my tennis ball for a game of catch at 5:15 this morning.  I mean doesn’t everyone play ball when they first wake up?

Those of you that know me well know that I love tennis balls and that my little sister Bess sometimes drives. me. crazy!   She always wants what I want and while we usually share our stuff  I really don’t like sharing my tennis balls.

This morning My Margret was sitting on the couch having her coffee and reading a book before she had to get ready for work and I was on the couch beside her with my tennis ball. Up jumps the bouncy girl who wanted  it too so I dropped it in My Margret’s lap.  My Margret quickly tucked it away by her side as Bess nosed me out of the way so she could sit and stare at My Margret in hopes that she would give her my tennis ball.

Now My Margret can out wait any of us so after 15 minutes Bess finally got tired of waiting and jumped down to go into the other room. After she had left My Margret quietly gave me back my tennis ball and tucked it in by my side.  I gave her a thank you look and she ruffled my ears and gave me a quick cuddle.   We understand each other very well especially when it comes to guarding tennis balls.

In memory of our friend Lexi we are posting pictures of us eating our favorite treats, hot dogs, cheese and carrots.

It took about 10 seconds for me to eat mine then I started on my sister Belle’s. My Margret made Belle another bowl of treats but that’s a story for another day.

My Greg hurt himself the other day while up on our roof painting.  He has something called a partial muscle tear in his leg, so he’s walking with these stick like things that make a lot of noise and kind of go all over the place.  I don’t think I like them and I know My Greg doesn’t either.

My sisters and I take turns sitting with him to keep him company but I wanted to do something more.

So I gave him my stuffie.

Like oh my goodness what a weekend! More of My Margret and My Greg’s big and little people came to visit. Katie the littlest little person, who is just learning how to walk came right up to us at the gate to be kissed by us,  she squealed and then she woofed at us!  That was like so much fun.  After she went to bed My Margret took the gate down so we could be with the rest of the family.  We had a lot of fun with Aaron and Ethan the older little people.  We played with them then Bess and I tried to sit in Aaron’s lap but we finally stood on the floor and leaned closer to him so he could get practice petting us. Both boys did a good job giving us the attention that we were um demanding or uh um I mean asking for.

Last night after all the big and little people went back home we were kind of antsy and I don’t know why but My Margret didn’t pick up on it like she usually does.  This morning we were still antsy and all of a sudden My Margret jumped up from the chair she was sitting in having her morning coffee. She went into the other room and brought out…our beds and drum roll please…our toys!!!!!   Finally! Man, we’ve got to work on getting My Margret to listen to us. I’m glad she finally figured it out, we were really happy to have our stuff back.

Belle and I immediately tried out one of the beds to make sure it was still comfy it was.

Belle then found one of her tennis balls and she made sure to keep it with her.  She said she wasn’t going to let it out of her sight.

Later this morning My Margret put our beds and some toys out in the kitchen where we were going to hang out while she kept on painting in our pup pen.  We wanted to go out and help her sooooo badly.   Belle gently rang the “gotta go” chime to go out…nope nothing. Then I gave the “gotta go” chime a full head shake…nope nothing.  Then Bess barked (a lot) to tell My Margret we wanted out…nope nothing.  So we did the only thing we could think of.

We took a nap!

Four years ago today our “Golden Adventure” began.

Four years later Bonnie and Belle still make us laugh, shake our heads at times and feel very very blessed to have them in our lives.
