Last week I had an itchy paw. My Margret shaved it with the buzzy thing that I. Did. Not. Like, where it was itchy.
She tried different things so I wouldn’t become a cone head. She gave me lots of cheese that made me kind of sleepy. And tried spraying on some wet stuff on it…have I mentioned that I don’t like being wet…that she said had all kinds of good things that would make it better plus help me not to lick it. She says I’m the only dog she knows who likes the taste of bitter green apple. What can I say? A pup can’t help what she likes can she?
Nothing was helping because I wouldn’t stop licking it. My Margret would tell me to leave it and I would, because I’m a good girl, until she wasn’t looking.
My Greg has been calling me Madam Hotspot. He’s funny like that. But now he gets to call me Miss Cone Head. SIGH…
The thing is, I don’t really mind wearing the cone. But I give them lots of sad faces because it gets me more treats!
~this is Belle “the AKA Miss Cone Head for the next few days” Pup for the rest of the pups and kitties.
Et tu, Belle? ~Xena
Yep, me too, Xena. How much longer are you going to be a Miss Cone Head? ~ nose nudges Belle Pup
I don’t know. Until Mommy takes it off for good?? I’m still scratching, and I do that only when she isn’t looking, but somehow she knows right away and pops that cone right back on me. Xena
Those Moms, they seem to know everything!
Been there. Don’t know who had a “ruffer” time — Penelope or me.
And it happened a second time…our replies to your post are at the bottom of the page.
I agree, B. I don’t mind the cone much either. It’s like wearing a new outfit. It bothers Mom more than me. I hope your hotspot cools off soon. Meanwhile, eat your sleepycheese and be a good girl…
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Thanks, Cupcake. I hope it cools off soon too.
Like wearing an outfit, hmmm I haven’t thought of it like that before but you are right! ~nose nudges Belle Pup
It’s hard to watch them wear it but it does help them heal faster. ~ take care, Belle’s My Margret
My Margret’s reply to your post is at the bottom of the page. I keep thinking she knows how this works by now but she still makes oopses. SIGH not sure what to do about that. ~ nose nudges Belle Pup
