What a night! 

My Margret said I was a hippo whatever that is because I must have wallowed in the mud puddles in our pup pen to be as muddy as I was tonight. 

How muddy was I, you ask, well muddy enough that I just got a bath at 9:00pm on a work night! How cool is that!!!

I was so muddy My Margret had to change the water twice!  She then put up that gate thingy so I couldn’t be with my sisters in the living room. I didn’t like that so guess what?!?!?!

I gave a mighty barked and…

JUMPED OVER THE GATE!!!! That has never happened before! WooWhoo!

P.S. My sisters helped me dry off!!

I did a good thing tonight! My sisters were out in our pup pen and I wanted them to come in. Since I don’t like to ring the gotta go chime I did what I know and…

I barked and barked and barked and well you get the idea.

My Margret FINALLY got the message and came out to the kitchen, opened the pup porch door and let them back in.

Usually my sisters are the ones who let My Margret know when I need to go out or come back in so I figured it was my turn.

Some of My Margret and My Greg’s little people came to visit over the weekend. 

Katie the littlest little person was so excited to see me that she would scream and laugh. Then she would say hi in meow language while we were playing hide and seek.

The oldest little person Ethan would gently pet me. I liked it so much that when he stopped I asked him to pet me some more.

My dog sisters were happy to see them too.

The middle little person Aaron helped them practice sit, lots of times.

After awhile we all went in the other room and watched a movie. Bessie tried to sit in Aaron’s lap. She liked that he kept petting her even while watching the movie.

Bonnie curled up with My Greg and fell sound asleep

And Belle was all snuggly and cozy under the blanket Ethan put on her.

So like we’ve not been getting our usual amount of snacks. Seems like we were out of them at least that’s what My Margret told us.

Then just a little while ago My Greg called to us.

He had SNACKS! But…

it took him so long that I just had to tell him to hurry!

I asked My Margret if I could wish you all a Happy Thursday. She said yes!

Then my sister Belle wanted to say it too.

And My Margret said she could.

THEN 

Linus Kitty wanted to know what this Happy Thursday stuff was all about.

so Belle told him while I watched.

~Happy Thursday from Bess, Belle and Linus “the it’s almost Friday so we’re going to celebrate Thursday” for the rest of the Pups and Kitties.

So like some of My Margret and My Greg’s big and little people came to visit. I was really excited because I got to spend time with Aaron before everyone woke up. I really really wanted to lick his face but My Margret told him to say leave it, he did and I did. *sigh*

I was really happy to be with Aaron.

Then it got even better!

The littlest little person Katie, are you ready for this, shared her little person snack with me.  She told me to sit and I did….every time!  

I was really really gentle with her and I really liked her snack.

I sure hope they come back soon.

Linus Kitty has been my buddy ever since he came to live with us when he was a tiny kitten. When he first moved in I took him under my paw and taught him how to be a Golden Retriever. 

So when he offered to teach me how to be a holder downer of things I said sure.

First he showed me how he does it.

Then it was my turn.

Well how did I do?

My Margret almost caught me in a good pose looking at the flowers but I have a reputation to uphold so we couldn’t be having that. 

Instead I let her catch me talking to the bird, he didn’t have much to say. Then I let her catch a glimpse of my snarky um er I mean serious side.

Then I said I was done with the photo shoot and that was that.

We had a bath today.                                     My Margret said it was way overdue.

The only one of us that likes baths is my sister Bonnie. She likes them so much that she tried to butt in line twice.

My Margret used my favorite treat to encourage me to get into the tub. It worked this time but I don’t know about the next time.

My sister Bess wasn’t even sure if her favorite treat was worth getting into the tub but finally she did.

After we were finished with our baths My Margret sat with us, brushed us and told us we were her pretty girls.  Bonnie liked being brushed so much she practically sat on her lap.

My Margret is trying to get us used to the blow dryer. She told us we would get dryer faster but it’s loud so we don’t like it. 

All we want to know is, can we come down yet?

So like something’s wrong with My Margret. It rained today and we played out in that rain so when My Margret came home from work we were, you know, wet and muddy. 

After she gave us our supper and let us back out we heard her singing a song. She says it’s to Tiny Tim’s song Tip Toe Thru The Tulips, whoever he is and why does he want to tip toe thru the tulips anyway?

Well whatever, it goes like this.

Tip toe thru the puddles, thru the puddles, thru the puddles, puppies.        Tip toe thru the puddles my girls.

She just keeps sing it over and over and over…but she knows we can’t stay out of puddles, silly My Margret
