My Margret took me to our vet this morning because I had a hot spot and what she thought might be an ear infection.

I stayed really close to My Margret while we were waiting.  I don’t like waiting very much but I did get to meet Mazie dog who was about the size of Linus kitty.

It turns out that I hurt my toe, (they aren’t sure how and I’m not talking) and in licking it to make it feel better the hot spot started.  My ears are inflamed but not infected yet.  Oh and I weigh 75 lbs. I don’t think anyone noticed because I haven’t heard the d word yet.

This medicine is supposed to help me feel better soon and I have to wear the cone of royalty but that’s ok I’m kind of used to it.

My Margret told My Greg that I was a good girl. I walked nicely past our outdoor kitties on the way to the car. I climbed up on the scale and turned around and sat quietly st the vet office. And I sat like a good girl in the backseat when I really wanted to be in the front.

Nope Not Happening!

So like The Bouncy one otherwise known as my little sister Bess was watching the box with people in it and I was taking a pup nap.

When all of a sudden she sees the red bone and wants me to move so she can take it.

She tried really hard to get me to move
But I let her know it wasn’t happening

So she tried even harder to get me to move but I wasn’t impressed

Not one little bit.

It’s What Sisters Do

This morning the Bouncy One wanted to go outside. I went with her but stayed on the porch. Bonnie kept ringing the gotta go chime but My Margret didn’t understand what we were trying to tell her.

Finally she called Bess in and a few seconds later there was a flash of lightning and a loud rumble of thunder.

Now she understands.

So like My Greg filled our Kongs today with his special  blend of peanut butter, cheese and a pup cookie.

It took him a very very long time but we were patient.

And it was very very good!

Up For The Challenge

Me and my sisters and Linus Kitty are tired.

My Greg’s leg owie isn’t all better yet and My Margret has a owie on her hand because she had an oops when she was using some scissors. So this weekend they were supposed to take it easy so they could get all better.

But they don’t sit very good.

So we sat on them.

It’s a tough job but we did it!

Cheese Filled Carrots

So like when our friend Noodle came up with show your favorite treat as a memorial for our other friend Lexi. My Greg came up with the idea of cheese stuffed carrots. Although we had already posted our usual favorite treat earlier he still wanted to try making our new favorite snack. So after church today he and My Margret made them for us.

First My Greg drilled a hole the length of the carrot.

Then he handed it to My Margret and she sprayed the cheese into the carrot.

Then we got to eat them.
I took mine and waited for my sisters to come with me to the living room where we ate them. They were sooooo good!!!

Bess finished hers first so she went back for seconds, but the battery on the drill ran out.

So we did the next best thing, we licked the cheese off of My Margret’s fingers.

We liked our new treat so much that when she offered us plain carrots a few minutes later I looked at the table then My Margret and said “hey, what about the cheese?

Pup Pen Security Guards

After a rain delay My Margret started painting in our pup pen this afternoon. I guess my sister Bess didn’t know who she was because she barked at her. I tried to tell Bess that it was My Margret and even after she took off her painting cap and sunglasses Bess still barked.

And barked.

And barked.

And barked some more
Until she finally got tired of barking. Then she just stared.

Sisters, I’ll never figure them out.

This morning when My Margret let Bess Pup out in the pup pen she heard a scared meow. That was me, I’ll admit it I was scared and you would have been scared too if you were me.

You see last night I slipped out unseen in the pup pen when my sisters went out before bedtime.

Now  those that know me know I’m called the 4th Golden Retriever, I want to be wherever my sisters are. And I try all kinds of ways to get outside including ringing the gotta go chime.

While at first I was excited to be outside then I have to admit I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would and as I said before got scared so when My Margret let me in I was really glad to see her. She hugged and cuddled me and told me she was sorry I spent the night outside. Then My Greg cuddled me and told me he was sorry too. That was fun I liked their cuddles but my sister pups went just plain goofy! First they each sniffed me to make sure I was ok.

Then they kept ringing the gotta go chime so they could go out in the pen and pup porch to do some sniffing then they would come  back in and sniffed me. They just couldn’t believe that I actually went outside.

Finally they just stared at me for awhile.

I can’t figure out why they were so fussed up I’m the one who stayed outside (well in the porch curled up in straw) in the dark …by myself …while it rained …

all .night .long!

Tummy Rubs

Tonight just wasn’t my night.  First it was time to take my Trifexis. I do not like the taste of it AT ALL!  My Margret crushes it up and mixes it with peanut butter and (now I’m going to sound like a princess) I lick it off of her finger.  It’s the only way I can get it down.

Then right after that I saw My Margret reach for a bottle, some q-tips and a piece of cheese. Well  I knew what that meant, yep she was going to wash out my ears. Well I like that even less than I like Trifexis so I made sure to tell her in no uncertain terms I was having none of that.

Well to make a long story short I got my ears washed out. One of them looked real yucky so I know in going to have to have my ears washed out a lot over the next few days. I know my Margret felt bad about that and making me take my Trifexis. I know she’s only doing all of that because she loves me so I did the only thing I could think of to let her know I wasn’t mad at her. I asked her to rub my tummy and she did.
