The Art of Relaxing

There’s a lot going on at our house. I heard my Margret say that they are “refreshing” the kitchen, dining room and living room.

There is scraping, tearing out, plastering, mudding, sanding and decision making going on.

There’s also scary stuff all over the place. Ladders, rustling plastic sheets, loud vacuums with hoses that can reach out and grab you.

My Margret has been taking breaks to help us not be scared and encourages us, especially me, to be brave and show all that stuff who’s boss!

I’m telling you all of this has worn my sisters and I out.

The project is on hold for a few days while they wait for a delayed shipment to arrive. So we are going to try and teach My Margret and My Greg the art of relaxing even if we have to lay on them!

Santa Claws.

There’s a lot of strange things going on our house. My Margret is getting up earlier than even me! I’m going to have to talk to her about that because I’m just not ready to wake up when she does.

Then there are all these little lights around the house.

So I asked My Greg what was going on.

And he said that I needed to be good because Santa Claws was watching to see if I’m naughty or nice.

Now I trust My Greg but I don’t know who this Santa Claws is. I know that Linus and Lucy Kitties have claws and they like to tease me by moving my stuffies and chew toys so I’m keeping my favorite ones close by me just in case this Santa Claws wants to tease me too.

I asked my sister Bonnie about him because she’s older and knows stuff. She said Santa Claws is very nice and won’t try and tease me.

I hope she’s right!

Then And Then And Then…

So there’s been a lot going on here at our house. A new little person was born 3 weeks ago and that started it all.

First My Margret and My Greg were gone overnight then they came home.

Then My Margret wasn’t here.

Then she was but My Greg wasn’t here.

Then My Greg was here but My Margret wasn’t.

Then My Margret came home and we had a lot of people here for a few days. When they left so did My Margret. But My Greg was here.

Then we had a blizzard and no power for several hours.

Then yesterday My Margret came home for good.

My sisters and I took turns sitting with her. So she knew we were glad to see her. Um it might also have been because she had popcorn…

Then last night both My Greg and My Margret were gone. Luckily for them they weren’t gone very long.

When they finally sat down last night I made sure My Margret didn’t go anywhere. How did I do that you ask? Why I sat on her of course! FYI She couldn’t take a picture of that because I wouldn’t let her up to get her phone.

Note from Margret: The past few weeks have been very busy but joyous. Our 7th grandchild was born in early November. I went to lend a hand after they came home from the hospital. Greg traveled to see our 2 oldest grandsons play in the AP All American Bowl. Then we were home Thanksgiving weekend and had lots of fun extended and immediate family time. That weekend ended with everyone heading back home before the blizzard hit. I returned to help out with the new baby returning home yesterday.

The pups and kitties handled everything well. Although they did let both Greg and I know that they missed us. They enjoyed some extra love and cuddles Thanksgiving weekend. BonnieBessieBelle

Christmas Card Photoshoot

My Margret and My Greg’s oldest big person Jessi took our picture today for our Christmas card. Aaron one of their older little people helped by holding up treats. We liked that so much we wouldn’t settle down. So My Greg said we couldn’t have anymore. After that

Jessi started making the funniest noises and that got our attention. We had a few oop’s before she got just the right pose.

My Margret was really pleased because she’s been wanting to do this forever!

Have You Seen?

My Margret’s been gone the past few days helping out with the family’s newest little person.

I was so happy to see her tonight that I brought in a mouse to give to her. Then after that I grabbed one of her socks so we could play baby alligator jaws.

I won!!!!

After that my sisters and I have been taking turns sitting with her.

It would all be perfect if she would just tell me where she put my mouse.

Do you know?

Expert In All Things Paper

My Margret and My Greg got a new couch a few weeks ago.

I’ve been waiting for them to take off the tag on the couch that says it belongs to us. I’ve waited and waited and waited. This morning I decided I had waited long enough and took care of it myself.

I don’t understand why but My Margret wasn’t real happy that I took care of that for her. All she said was “Belle! What did you do?” in “that” voice and it made me sad.

Then she said as she ruffled my fur. “Well I’m glad only the tag came off.”

You would think by now she would know that I’m an expert in all things paper. I mean come on I’m the only one that can take tissues out of pockets.

But I didn’t want to stay mad, so to show her that I forgave her I let her give me a tummy rub.

An Awesome Day Of Firsts

Today was a day of firsts. This morning My Margret and I went to someone called a groomer. It was my first time there and I didn’t know what to expect. Turns out I liked it and they made me look even more like the princess that I am.

Then this afternoon I went with her when she picked up her grocery order at Walmart. My job was to supervise as the groceries were put in our car.

Both of the grocery people said I was really cute, I was going for beautiful but I guess cute will do. One of them handed My Margret a bag of treats just for me! Seems that there are pups who are regulars at grocery pickup and they get treats every time. Hmm I think I need to become a regular.

My Margret said I had one more surprise.

Oh yeah…and the best thing ever… I didn’t have to share!

All of these firsts made me very tired so I curled up with My Margret and took a nap.
