I do a lot for My Margret.

I walk right in front of her when she walks up or down stairs to make sure the steps don’t trip her.

I help her when she is writing the church council meeting minutes by giving her a dose of cute.

And by making sure the page doesn’t go anywhere.

I curl up with her at bedtime and keep her company when she is sick.

Why I even keep the laundry from falling out of the basket.

I do all of that and she has the nerve to say I snore!

Can you believe that! Humph!

This morning I ran upstairs and came back down all quiet like. My Margret and Belle were snuggled on the couch and I didn’t want them to see what I had. Oh um I mean I didn’t want to bother them.

All of a sudden I hear “leave it”.

Then I hear “give”.

Um give what? I don’t have one of your favorite socks. Really I don’t.

Next thing I knew My Margret was standing beside me with her hand out and said “give”. I kinda did and she took the sock and gave me my cow stuffie. Soon I found one of our chewy toys too but it wasn’t the same.

I’ve been taking stubborn lessons from Bonnie. When My Margret was out of the room I went upstairs and got the other sock and yep I chewed it up! In fact I chewed faster when I saw My Margret coming into the room.

She just look at me with a ” I can’t believe you did this after I told you not to” look. Then Bonnie and I gave her a ” What?” look.

Sometimes a pup just wants what they want and it’s ok to go after it. Bonnie said!

We have a new friend! Jack Kitty’s Meowm Rebekka is a friend of our My Margret, they work together. Jack sent us a really pretty card.

It was fun learning all about Jack and his family.

Having a pen pal is a lot of fun. We can’t wait to write back to Jack Kitty.

We Goldens Pups carry our blankets wherever we go so we are always toasty warm, well except for…our noses.

Bessie Pup’s nose usually stays pretty warm so she doesn’t need a nose cave when she sleeps.

Belle Pup’s nose gets kinda cold so she likes shallow nose caves.

My nose gets very cold so I like deep nose caves.

My Margret kinda chuckled when she saw me. She touched my nose and said Bonnie Sweet Pup your nose is toasty warm.

I just looked at her and said yep and it’s going to stay that way!

I followed My Margret around the house tonight as she finished up some tasks. She kept looking at me and I could tell she wondered what I wanted.

When she finally sat down I showed her.

When you want your tennis ball but you don’t want your sister to know you want it.

At least until it’s fully yours!

We had to take a bath yesterday. I don’t know why I needed one, I mean I had a shower just the other night.

You would have thought that was good enough but no not for My Margret.

To add to that we had couldn’t come downstairs until we were dry. My Margret says if we would let her use the blow dryer it would go much faster but who wants that noisy thing. She says we’ll work on that.

I tried to tell her we wanted to come down but she said it wasn’t time yet and went to turned on some music.

Then we decided to give her guilt inducing looks and on the count of three we gave it all we had. Nope, that didn’t work either. My Margret is a tough one. Finally we gave up and took what My Greg called a drying nap. That must have worked because when we woke up My Margret said “Girls are you ready to come down?”

Finally! I’m telling you this whole bath thing just wears me out!

Every time I go outside My Margret has to put a plastic bag on my bandaged foot. I don’t like it very much because I forget and wag my tail and some of my tail hairs get caught in the tape.

If that wasn’t enough the plastic bag feels funny. It’s slippery and makes so much noise that I make My Margret go down the porch steps and out in our pup pen with me. I seriously won’t go unless she goes with me. She’s good like that.

When we come back in the house I sit real still so she can cut the tape and get that bag off of my foot. Then I go do my new job. Bonnie made being a pillow tester look so easy that I decided to become a blanket tester

So last Sunday night I hurt my paw. My Margret posted it on our Three Pups and a Couple of Kitties Facebook page. I asked why she didn’t write about it on our blog and she just looked at me. I asked her if she would copy the post here and she said yes.

“Ugh! Belle ripped a nail on her left rear paw down to the quick. It was hanging by a thread. I talked to our vet and he told me what to do. With Greg distracting her I took care of the nail, cried a few tears and used flour to stop the bleeding. We are to keep an eye out for infection. Belle, then went and rang the gotta go chime not to go out but to ask for not one but two treats. Belle baby whatever you want sweet pup whatever you want.”

That same night she noticed that Bessie had a hot spot on her inner ear flap. So while she was putting medicine on Bessie’s ear she told Bonnie that she needed to stay healthy.

Today My Margret noticed I was licking my foot a lot and took a look then called the vet’s office. She took me in and took a picture of Bessie’s ear to see if she needed to make an appointment for her or if it was getting better.

I’m not quite sure how it happened but I ended up with this and antibiotic pills…

While Bessie just has to keep having antibiotic ointment put on her ear. Some how that’s not fair, oh but wait, I get hot dog pill pockets and she doesn’t. That makes it seem better somehow.

So while Bessie and I have been busy Bonnie got a job as a pillow tester. She says it’s a real comfy job.

My Margret and My Greg’s big and little people were home this weekend for their family Christmas.

There was a lot going on so my sisters and I were happy to spend some us time in our pup porch and pen.

Everyone went home today and we have our My Margret and our My Greg all to ourselves again.

My Margret came into the living room after talking to Aunt Mrs. Barb about another Christmas celebration and found all of us and My Greg sleeping in our favorite places.

Bess got so overwhelmed thinking about which ones she wanted to carry around that she had to lay down for awhile. She finally decided and jumped up to give them to My Greg. She must have had at least four of them!After awhile Bess jumped up beside My Margret, who was looking at recipes and took another snooze. Awhile later Bonnie jumped up to take her turn sitting with My Margret.

In a little while it’s going to be my turn to spend some time with My Margret. In the meantime….
